The problem with trusting farmer data
Most farmer data in Nigeria today is self-reported, collected once, and never checked again. A name on a list is not proof of a farm. A phone number is not proof of land. This is exactly the gap that has allowed billions of naira in agricultural funding to reach people who were never farming in the first place.
Prodile was built around a different standard: nothing goes into the database unless it can be independently verified, and nothing stays in the database unless it continues to be true.

Field Registration
A trained field agent visits the farmer in person, at their farm, not in an office or over the phone. The agent captures the farmer's biometric identity, GPS coordinates of the farmland, crop type, and land size directly on-site using an offline-capable mobile application. Because the app works without an internet connection, agents can register farmers in areas with no network coverage, syncing the data once they are back in range.
Registration is only the start. Agents return periodically, typically weekly, to check on the farm and record what has changed. Rather than filling out repetitive forms each visit, agents simply speak their observations aloud. Prodile's system automatically transcribes and structures these voice notes into the farmer's profile.

Algorithmic Quality Check
Once submitted, every registration passes through automated checks before it can be accepted. The system flags anomalies automatically: a land size far outside the regional average, GPS coordinates that fall on a road or in a river rather than farmland, or biometric data that matches an existing profile. Flagged entries are held for manual review before they can proceed.

Peer Cross-Verification
A random 10 percent of all registrations are independently re-visited and re-verified by a second agent or cluster supervisor who had no involvement in the original registration. This is a statistical integrity check: if fraud or carelessness exists anywhere in the field network, this layer is built to catch it.

Permanent, Tamper-Proof Recording
Once a profile clears all three layers above, it is cryptographically secured. From that point forward, no one, including Prodile, can alter, backdate, or delete that record. Any future updates are added as new, time-stamped entries, never as edits to history. The full record of a farmer's verified activity remains permanently intact.

Prodile keeps every profile current through regular agent visits, without creating a paperwork burden that slows the system down. Agents simply speak their notes after each visit, describing what they observed in plain language. An AI transcription system listens, structures that information, and updates the relevant fields in the farmer's profile automatically.
