About Prodile

Nigeria's farmers have always been productive.
They have never been visible.

Prodile exists to close that gap, one verified profile at a time.

The Problem We Saw

Funding meant for real farmers was going to people with no land and no crops.

In 2018, an attempt to access funding under the CBN's Anchor Borrowers' Programme exposed a problem far bigger than one farm in Nasarawa State. The funding meant to support real, active farmers was being accessed by people with no land and no crops, simply because no one could verify who was actually farming and who wasn't.

This is not a rare story. It is the default experience for millions of Nigerian smallholder farmers, who collectively produce over 80 percent of the country's food but remain almost entirely invisible to the institutions meant to support them. Without verified data, funding flows to whoever is best connected, not whoever is genuinely growing crops on the ground.

That gap, between real productivity and institutional trust, is what Prodile was built to close.

Our Mission

We believe every farmer who works the land deserves to be seen, verified, and funded on the strength of what they actually produce.

How We Got Here

Built from a simple question about trust.

What would it take for an institution to trust a farmer's identity, land, and output enough to fund them with confidence? The answer required three things working together.

People on the ground

Nigeria's National Youth Service Corps gave us a self-renewing network of graduates already posted to rural communities — ready to verify farmers in person.

NYSC agentsField presenceCommunity trust

Technology that locks the truth

Blockchain gave us a way to secure every verified data point permanently — so records cannot be altered, backdated, or manipulated after submission.

A model that can scale

A deep, hands-on understanding of how Nigerian farming communities actually operate shaped a system that can grow nationally without costing more than the funding it protects.

Practical designCost-efficientBuilt to scale

Prodile is currently piloting in Nasarawa State, working toward 1,000 verified farmer profiles as proof that this model works at the community level before scaling nationally.

Where We're Headed

A verified Nigeria, one farmer at a time.

Prodile's work starts in Nasarawa State, but the problem it solves exists everywhere smallholder farmers are asked to prove they exist before they can be supported. Our goal is a future where every farmer in Nigeria, and eventually across Africa, can be seen clearly enough to be funded fairly.
